In order to process your booking or enquiry we need to collect certain personal details from you. These details could include your name, email and contact details and those of party members, credit/ debit card or other payment details and special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition which may effect your chosen arrangements and any dietary restrictions which may disclose your religious beliefs. STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA - GDPR - Data Privacy and Messaging Guidelines. As part of our continuous innovation and improvement of Gloucester House, we are offering messaging functionalities to you and guests. And, as from 25 May 2018, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (the "GDPR") will enter into force, replacing the European Union’s current legal regime on data protection. In light of these developments, we are issuing Data Privacy and Messaging Guidelines, which clarify our respective obligations regarding the processing of personal data and allow us to keep providing you with robust Gloucester House booking services. By continuing to use the Gloucester House services, you agree to the Data Privacy and Messaging Guidelines. Unless you have asked us not to we will store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes (for example, sending you a brochure or details of a promotion via email). You are generally entitled to ask us (by letter or e-mail) what details of yours are being held or processed, for what purpose and to whom they may be or have been disclosed. We may charge a fee to respond to such a request. We promise to respond to your request within 40 days of receiving your written request and fee. In certain limited circumstances we are entitled to refuse your request. If you believe that any of your personal details which we are processing are inaccurate or incorrect please contact us immediately. This privacy statement covers websites owned and controlled by us only. LINKS to other websites and any information collected by these sites are not covered by this privacy statement. Eviivo Booking Engine - Some booking engine pages, those with a web address prefixed by https://eviivo.com/ are managed by Eviivo, our booking partner and, as such, Eviivo is responsible for the content in accordance with their terms and conditions.
Additionally, OUR COOKIE POLICY - As part of the new data protection laws we are required to let you know when we use any kind of tracking devices or ‘cookies’ on our website. We use three types of Cookie - Session cookies: These are temporary and are deleted as soon as you close your browser. Persistent cookies: These are stored on your computer until they expire or you remove them. Persistent cookies store your personal preferences such as your language preferences on multi-lingual sites to make subsequent visits easier. They also for example remember questions we have asked you previously, such as a request to complete an online survey. If you make bookings from our site, via a 3rd party online travel agent, over the telephone or by walking into Gloucester House Bed & Breakfast, Weymouth, OUR BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL APPLY.

WE MAY SUSPEND OR WITHDRAW OUR SITE - Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
PRICING - We offer a full range of packages and pricing, as detailed below. Our packages and pricing will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice and are subject to availability and are only inclusive of any meals, service or VAT (at the current prevailing rate) if specified in writing. Your price is guaranteed once you have been given a confirmation number and the relevant Non Refundable Deposit has been paid. All prices will be shown on our Website, and quoted by our staff in Pounds Sterling. Any payment collected online will be in Pounds Sterling.
ADVANCE PURCHASE RATES - If applicable, Advance Purchase Rates are available 7 days or more before the date of arrival, and are fully prepaid at time of Booking. Advance Purchase Rates are non-refundable and non-transferable. The credit/debit card used to book the Advance Purchase Rate must be presented to reception on arrival at Gloucester House, Weymouth.
BEST AVAILABLE RATES - To provide you with best available price on any given day of the year, we operate a sophisticated price management system, which enables us to guarantee you the Best Price for the period of your stay at the time of your enquiry. Our Best Available Rates allow you to alter or cancel your booking up until 12 noon, seven days prior to your arrival, incurring the loss of the non refundable deposit, equal to the first night’s accommodation charge. Cancellations made after 12 noon, seven days prior to your arrival will be charged the full amount of the booking/remaining balance. Please note that if you have booked a stay with us, restricted by a Minimum number of nights requirement, any cancellation of less than the required number of nights, will incur a full cancellation charge and no refund of reduced nights will be given.
PROMOTIONAL RATES - These rates may require a promotional code. Separate terms and conditions may apply which will take precedence over these Terms. Prices are valid for a minimum number of consecutive nights at Gloucester House only. In case of a change in the length of stay, for fewer than the minimum promotional nights applicable, additional fees will apply, based on the hotel's advertised rate per night.
For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay. Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, you irrevocably authorise us to debit your credit or debit card the amount of any shortfall. AVAILABILITY - During seasonality, Bank holidays, social events, and at various times throughout the year, certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability.
SINGLE GUESTS - Individual guests using a single room (where available) may benefit from a reduced rate at the Hotel. When no single room is available, individual guests may book a double or twin room for sole occupancy. These rooms may carry a supplement at the Hotel. Please ask at the time of Booking.
GUEST BEHAVIOUR - Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Company procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff. Only Guests registered to a specific bedroom number, may be in that room. We strictly forbid parties or gatherings and the playing of loud music/Tvs in the Bedrooms. Please open and close doors quietly and respect all of our guests, at all times, but particularly when coming in and out of the building between 11.00pm and 8.00am. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider any of these provisions to have been breached, and or complaints of disturbance. Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
DAMAGE - We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel, during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing or damaged when you leave. Please do not stick up or pin any items to the walls or doors.
LOST KEYS - We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us, to charge your credit or debit card £150 per security Key, for any Lost Keys, or Keys not handed in at Check Out
NO SMOKING - Guests are not permitted to smoke in rooms or public areas at the Hotel, nor in the external entrance lobby. This also includes e-cigarettes and Vaping devices. Smoking in our premises, or tampering with any Fire detection systems will result in a £200 fine payable at the time and prior to departure, which allows for the specialist cleaning of the bedroom/area and towards any loss of revenue we incur, as a result of not being able to re-let the bedroom. You will be asked to leave the accommodation, with no refund for any remaining days stay outstanding/unused.
CANDLES AND OTHER FLAMMABLE MATERIALS OR SUBSTANCES - Use of candles, tea lights, hot oils or any other burning or flammable materials/substances is strictly forbidden anywhere within the building. Guests found with any such materials or evidence of prior use of such materials/substances may be asked to leave with immediate effect without the possibility of refund.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE - Bedrooms are generally available to CHECK IN from 2.00pm on the day of arrival until 7.00pm. OTHER TIMES BY ARRANGEMENT ONLY. Late arrival may incur a late fee of £20 per hour, from 7.00pm. CHECK OUT time is by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the Owners of Gloucester House only. If agreed, a Late Check Out fee may be payable, as advised. These times may be varied from time to time at our discretion. In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference and their Credit Card/Passport/Identity Card/Driving Licence.
FORCE MAJEURE - The Gloucester House accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, Pandemic Viruses, Natural disasters, Flooding, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY - The Gloucester House will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 or any other applicable law.
The Company will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract. Nothing contained in the Contract or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
ACCESS STATEMENT - The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is a grade two listed building which forms part of Weymouth’s seafront. Access to the Guest House is by seven steps from the pavement into the foyer. The less mobile can be accommodated in the two ground floor bedrooms: one being a large double and the other a twin.
Pre-Arrival - Contact can be made by telephone, e-mail or personal visit to book rooms or request information. Advice can be provided on the style of bedroom required, along with car parking and public transport information.
Arrival & Car Parking - Check in times are strictly between 2.00pm and 7.00pm. Any arrivals outside these times are by prior arrangement only. We reserve the right to not accept the booking at any time.
On site car parking is not available. Parking is available around the immediate area. If you have booked DIRECTLY with us, we have a limited number of on-street permits, issued on an availability “1st come, 1st served basis”. There are plenty of local pay and display car parks. Council car parks are currently free of charge from 6pm to 8:00am.
Disabled Parking is permitted with a Blue Badge on the Esplanade close to the property complimentary and in the Royal Yard Car Park, Paid for.
Main Entrance & Reception - Access via seven steps, Entryphone and video door bell - Help with luggage and form filling, Extra keys available
Public Areas - Access via seven steps, No lift, Flooring is either carpet or hard flooring
Stairs over five floors all with bannister rails.
Bedrooms - Fire information in all rooms
No lift - Ground floor rooms are available for the less mobile.
Level entry to bedrooms from landings - Good lighting, Independent heating control with extra heating available on request, Showers are stepped
Minimum age for single room occupancy is: 16 (when accompanying an Adult), 18 (unaccompanied)
Public Toilet - There is a public toilet available, situated eight stairs up from the ground floor.
Breakfast Room - The breakfast room is situated on the lower ground floor. Access is via sixteen stairs from our reception. There are bannister rails on both sides. We can help the visually impaired with their choices
PARKING
When arriving on Weymouth seafront, our Property is situated 100 metres on the town side of the clock tower.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO GUEST ON-SITE PARKING AVAILABLE AT GLOUCESTER HOUSE.
We do have a very limited amount of Parking Permits for zone H around the front and the back of Gloucester House and certain other streets. These are only for guests who have booked DIRECTLY with us; and allocated on arrival, subject to availability, giving priority to guests with mobility problems or those who have booked longer stays.
A charge of £85 will be made for a replacement, should the permit be lost or not be returned by 11:00am on the day of departure - Permits are required for new guests checking in.
Paid Parking is available either in an on-street paid space, or within one of the Town Pay and Display Car Parks - Our closest is The Royal Yard, and also The Swannery and Pavilion car parks. Alternatively you can park in the Train Station car park around the corner or the station overflow.

LIABILITY - Gloucester House - it’s owners, staff or agents, accept no liability for your vehicle or its contents whilst using the parking permits provided throughout your stay.
PARKING FINES - Please pay particular attention to the Permit Terms and Conditions provided, as they ONLY allow parking in specific locations which is carefully described on the narrative around the permit. Gloucester House, its owners, staff or agents cannot be held responsible for Parking Fines incurred through incorrect parking in designated Zones, wrongful use or misuse of permits. PLEASE VERIFY WITH US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES.
DIRECTIONS - When using SAT NAV - Our postcode DT4 7AT will direct you to the Esplanade. If the parking bays there are full, use postcode DT4 7DB this will direct you to Gloucester Mews, which is to our rear, where there is also parking and The Royal Yard Car Park.
CONFIRMING A BOOKING AND DEPOSITS - GENERAL POLICY
To confirm a booking more than 7 days prior to arrival, we require the first night’s accommodation fee as a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.
To confirm a booking less than 7 days prior to arrival, the full value of the booking needs to be settled. THIS IS NON REFUNDABLE.

HIGH SEASON DEPOSIT POLICY (Between 1st June and 30th September and on 31st December)
To confirm a booking more than 7 days in advance, for dates within our High Season, we will require a 50% Deposit of the Total Booking Value, as a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.
To confirm a booking less than 7 days prior to arrival, the full value of the booking needs to be paid. This is NON REFUNDABLE.

TO PAY DEPOSIT AND FINAL BALANCES
You can input your payment details into our secure web booking site, or phone with your card details and we will then forward a confirmation via email or letter. All major debit or credit cards are accepted . We only accept cheques more than 30 days prior to a booking, to allow for clearance of funds. Final balances are due prior to arrival.
Please note that bookings are not secured, until a non refundable deposit is taken and you have received a confirmation e-mail or letter, with your booking confirmation number.

CANCELLATIONS
If rooms are cancelled more than 7 days prior to Arrival, the deposit is not refundable.
Please note that if you have booked a stay with us, restricted by a Minimum number of nights requirement, any cancellation of less than the required number of nights, will incur a full cancellation charge and no refund will be given for the reduced nights.
Regretfully, cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date are charged at 100% of the total accommodation cost.
This charge will be taken from the same card number you have given us. Cancellations must be made in writing or e-mail.

CURTAILMENT
Guests wishing to leave Gloucester House, prior to the booked end date of their stay, do so entirely at their own discretion. However, In such cases the cost of the booking will stand and no negotiation will be entered into regarding refunds.

NON ARRIVAL
Guests who fail to arrive for a booking, and who haven’t called to cancel as per the cancellations policy above will be required to pay the whole cost of the stay, less any booking fee already paid and hereby authorise Gloucester House to use the debit/credit card provided to us at time of booking as method of payment.
OCCUPANCY LIMITS
The room(s) you book with us have a specific occupancy limit as determined by Fire safety regulations and limits placed upon us by our insurance. When you book room(s) with us your booking tells us how many people are in each room under the standard operating limits of (Double room, Twin room = max 2 people, Single rooms = max 1 person, Triple Room + 3 persons, Quad Room + 4 Persons). If on arrival or at sometime during your stay someone joins you in any particular room, the number of people cannot exceed the maximum number aforementioned and in all cases you must immediately find a member of staff and advise them of the change in Occupancy in your room, and additional charges will apply and those persons will need to be added to the Fire Safety Log.

Ground floor rooms are available for the less mobile. Level entry to bedrooms from landings.
Good lighting. Independent heating control with extra heating available on request.

There is a public toilet available, situated eight stairs up from the ground floor.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) policy - The Health & safety of our Guests and Staff is of paramount importance. Please ensure you have read and fully understand the policies and procedures relating to Government Covid-19 measures and guidelines we have introduced and adopted to ensure your safety and those of our staff. Please ensure you have seen our dedicated page on our website only - www.gloucesterhouseweymouth.co.uk If you should develop Covid symptoms whilst staying with us, you will be required to leave, via private transport, to ensure no onward risk of infection to other guests or staff. You must return home immediately, self isolate and seek the earliest test possible, informing us of the results. If for any reason you are unable to leave, you will need to isolate in your room and you are fully accountable for all additional costs related to your stay, such as but not limited to: additional accommodation nights, food, travel, compensation to other guests that might be affected and to us for the resultant loss of revenue.

Late arrival after this time, is by prior arrangement only, and will be charged at £20 per hour thereafter.
