ANOTHER LOVELY STAY!
Had another lovely stay recently at this lovely hotel. Jonathan and Karen were as lovely as ever, and the staff too. The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern. Everything you could need is catered for. The breakfast was wonderful each day. Can’t wait to return again next year.

Exceeded Expectations!
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Gloucester House. We were warmly received by Jonathan and Karen. Our room was clean, spacious, with a great choice of teas and coffees as well as very comfy beds resulting in a great night's sleep. The was a fantastic choice of delicious hot and cold breakfast options and very friendly staff.

Hospitality
This was our 3rd visit to Gloucester House and like the previous 2 it was faultless. The standard of accommodation, service and food are in our opinion above expectations, and trust me I have high expectations. We cannot recommend the hospitality of Jonathan, Karen or their staff enough.

Brilliant B and B
Really excellent b and b. Clean (spotlessly) and comfortable room, welcoming and incredibly kind hosts who went out of their way to help us, delicious breakfast. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Will definitely return.

Superb Comfort
Our second stay at this lovely property. Everything is immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast is superb and all freshly cooked to order. Jonathan and his wife are a delight and full of helpful local knowledge and recommendations. The use of a free parking permit is an additional bonus. Looking forward to our next trip.

Best bed & breakfast we’ve ever stayed at!
Our stay was wonderful! Such a beautiful bed and breakfast. Loved everything about it! The hotel is in an amazing location. Beautiful waterfront and just around the corner from the train. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and so clean. The breakfast was delicious! The full English breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Jonathan and Karen were amazing hosts. Anything we needed they were there to help. And It was a pleasure meeting the young girls who worked in the hotel. They were all so kind. We can’t wait to go back and stay there again!

Weymouths FinesT
Honestly one of the nicest, most beautiful, cozy, cleanest quaint places I’ve ever stayed! Super super nice, very cozy and modern! Has great views of the ocean and the Jurassic coast, and is right close to the main part of Weymouth. Jonathan and the staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever come across. They made me feel so welcomed and very comfortable. They helped me with my luggage, and recommended me great spots in town. They asked me about my travels and we just had lots of good chats! I have nothing but good things to say about this place, the rooms offer a lovely variety of teas and coffees with some biscuits, and have all the amenities one needs. The breakfasts is delicious and such a good spread! They do an amazing job and if you ever go to Weymouth! You have to stay here. It’s amazing and you won’t regret it! Thank you for everything! Beautiful place.

10 out of 10. GREAT HOSTS, BEAUTIFUL LOCATION, FAB BREAKFAST! THE BEST B&B WE HAVE STAYED IN, EVER!!
Everything about this place is AMAZING! The hosts, Jonathan and Karen, were so friendly, warm, welcoming and laid back from the moment we stepped foot inside their beautiful b&b. You know you are in a great place when the hosts have managed to successfully put themselves in their guests shoes and provide the little things that can mean so much - fresh milk available for teas, coffee or hot chocolate in your room instead of those awful little creamers (our boys 7 and 12 especially appreciated being able to have hot chocolate made with real milk!). The hotel itself is absolutely spotless and the decor is beautiful and luxurious. The rooms are lovely, fantastic beds and duvets that gave us the best night sleep...so much so I came home and bought new duvets for us all!! Location is fantastic, literally steps away from a beautiful golden sand beach and a lovely promenade with harbour further along. There's a little funfair further along for the kitchen D's and an arcade too...all very respectable and a real hit with our boys! Jonathan was great at recommending local things to do and places to eat too. Breakfast was delicious - my husband had the full English, all beautifully fresh, cooked to order! I had the avocado on toast with feta crumbled on top...best breakfast in a long time! Kids enjoyed the fresh fruit, cereal selection, plenty of toast and cooked breakfast! Their soaked oats in almond milk were exceptional...I have tried to recreate it at home but have failed. I need that recipe Jonathan!! Coffee was great and the young staff were fantastic, efficient, smiley and just so lovely. 10 out of 10. If you're in the area and you don't stay here, you really are missing out.. Gloucester House is a true home from home, where every need has been anticipated and where the host give you a genuine sense that they love what they do and love having you there. Forget the big hotels, stay here! We will definitely be back!

AMAZING
Such a nice place. Everything was very modern and of a high standard. The room was decorated and furnished really nicely. I can see why they've won awards for their breakfasts too. Incredible. Right on the seafront and close to everything, just a short walk from the city centre and the beautiful harbour. We will definitely be booking again.

THE PERFECT STAY
Fabulous location mixed with superb quality and fantastic staff. We had a fabulous two nights stay with two children under 10. Unbeatable location and the hotel oozes quality and style when you walk through the front door. Superb hosts who catered for every need all topped off with a breakfast to die for. Would happily recommend to anyone

PERFECT STAY WITH PERFECT HOSTS
Went for a day trip to Lulworth and Durdle door for our anniversary and needed somewhere relaxing to stay for the night before heading back home the next day. This accommodation exceeded my expectation and parking was easy, thanks to the hosts. To start with Johnathan and Karen were lovely and very welcoming. They took the time to get to know us and started our stay with a lovely chat- just a nice warm touch. They have really thought about every little touch for the perfect stay. The place is modern, extremely clean and great location. All COVID-19 measures had been taken place which made me feel very comfortable. The shower was refreshing after a long day of hiking. The bed was comfortable and there was a fan available in the room (which isn’t always the case in other places I’ve stayed in). They had added a wonderful touch of some processco for our anniversary- much appreciated :) The breakfast was fantastic: service was excellent and the food was great! I was so happy with my stay and couldn’t recommend it enough. Johnathan and Karen: you really have something special here and I wish you all the best! You should open another one in another location - I would definitely come and stay :)

GENerous in every respect
I booked booked two single rooms for one night here to celebrate my mother’s 70th. One a classic and one superior with a balcony; both were excellent. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, generous amounts of high quality toiletries and towels. The balcony though did steal the show. The shared lounge was spacious and had a relaxed atmosphere. Our hosts were friendly and informative but never intrusive. It genuinely felt that you couldn’t ask too much of them. (Not that we needed to!) The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of choice on offer. Tea/coffee/juice/toast - no need to ask for more as it was offered. The same generosity was true of the drinks station in our rooms. The location was better than I expected. Perfect for a stroll along the seafront and onto the harbour for a drink or meal! I would 100% recommend this accommodation for families, friends and couples alike. I would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Room with a view and binoculars to see it!
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel valued, and welcome. A very good first impression from the owner, full of local information and couldn't do enough for us. We left our suitcases and went for a cool drink in the town, when we returned our cases were in our rooms ready for us. I had a balcony room, and the view on entering was stunning, and definitely started the stay well, binoculars were provided, so we were able to sip prosecco in the sun and look at the cruise liners docked. All the soft furnishings were of a very high standard, we could not fault the room or shared lounge. Every precaution was taken to ensure our safety, but we were pleased the whole experience was not spoilt by COVID-19 restrictions, and our stay was safe, but throughly enjoyable, from the luxe quality bedlinen and Clarins toiletries, to the timed breakfast slot, so we were safely spaced out, and the Dorset breakfast was beyond delicious! The hotel location is perfect - opposite the jubilee clock tower right on the seafront, beach, shops, café's and bars were a step away. Don't hesitate to schedule an escape, you can book the Gloucester Hotel with confidence, knowing your safety and happiness is top concern. We were glad we did, a much needed break, and something we will definitely repeat.
